Previously, BSR provided White Spirit samples to Son The He Moi Co., Ltd. and several other companies for testing. Following its evaluation of the samples, Son The He Moi Co., Ltd. proposed working with BSR to conduct trials within its own system to assess the product’s applicability, quality, and market response. The trial results will serve as a basis for considering market expansion beyond the company’s existing system and increasing demand for the product in the coming period. According to the plan, trial demand from September to December 2026 is expected to range from approximately 40.000 to 250.000 litres per month.
The development of White Spirit is also part of BSR’s strategy to proactively and flexibly manage product sales. Amid fluctuations in market demand for Jet A-1 driven by changes in air transportation demand, researching and developing additional products from the same refining fraction as Jet A-1 provides BSR with more options for product utilization and sales, thereby enhancing flexibility in both operations and business activities.
Based on initial trial results and market demand, White Spirit supply to customers is expected to reach approximately 40.000 – 500.000 litres per month. BSR will continue to study and refine its production plan while stepping up efforts to identify and develop customers, with the aim of gradually establishing a stable sales channel for the new product.
In terms of its business strategy, BSR has assigned its Hanoi Branch to continue identifying customers, coordinating product trials, and developing the White Spirit distribution network. This is considered one of the solutions contributing to the diversification of BSR’s product portfolio, expansion of its market reach, and enhancement of its proactive approach to business operations.

This result demonstrates our capability to master technology, our spirit of innovation, and our ability to translate research ideas into practical production,” Mr. Mai Tuan Dat said.

White Spirit is a solvent product used in a wide range of applications, including the paint industry, cleaning and degreasing, certain fuel-related applications, disinfectants, and other industrial sectors. BSR’s research, production, and trial sales of this product open up an additional avenue for creating value from the existing feedstock resources and processing capabilities of the Dung Quat Refinery.
