Officially operating under the name: Petrovietnam Refining and Petrochemical Corporation

The new name has been officially registered under the Enterprise Registration Certificate issued by the Quang Ngai Department of Finance.

Previously, at the BSR Annual General Meeting held on April 13, 2026, shareholders approved the change of the company’s name. On May 8, 2026, the Board of Directors of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) issued a resolution approving the renaming of the enterprise to “Petrovietnam Refining and Petrochemical Corporation”.

Accordingly, the head office of the Corporation remains at the same address: 208 Hung Vuong Boulevard, Nghia Lo Ward, Quang Ngai Province, Vietnam. The charter capital is VND 50,072,996,860,000 (fifty trillion seventy-two billion nine hundred ninety-six million eight hundred sixty thousand Vietnamese dong), corresponding to a total of 5,007,299,686 shares. The legal representative is Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang – President & CEO.

The abbreviated name “BSR” will continue to be used as the Corporation’s brand name, while the existing “BSR” logo and brand identity system will also be maintained. The adoption of the new name aims to unify brand identity, align with the development orientation under the corporation model, and expand the enterprise’s role within the national energy value chain.

The resolution also assigns the Executive Board to implement all relevant legal procedures, while standardizing the brand identity system, legal documents, transactions, and governance activities in line with the corporation model for the new development phase.

The renaming of the enterprise is considered an important milestone in BSR’s development journey after nearly two decades of operating the Dung Quat Refinery. Beyond a simple brand change, the transformation in organizational model and corporate name reflects a new development orientation with larger scale, a longer-term vision, and a broader role within the national energy ecosystem.

The development of BSR into a corporation is aligned with its overall Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045. It is also associated with the Resolution of the 7th BSR Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term and Petrovietnam’s orientation to elevate the organization, reposition the role and status of BSR, and strengthen its image within the national energy ecosystem.
