Overview of the working session |
During the discussion, Mr. Giacomo Spadini shared that ENE is pursuing a net-zero emissions target by embracing the energy transition and prioritizing the use of green and renewable energy sources.
To achieve this ambition, ENE has been conducting extensive research and deploying advanced technologies to produce green fuels and promote decarbonization in agriculture. Among its core strengths is the company's expertise in bio-refining. With its proprietary Ecofining™ technology, ENE can convert various waste materials — including used cooking oil, animal fats, and vegetable oils — into high-quality biofuels. The company also aims to broaden the application of decarbonization technologies across a range of sectors.

Mr. Le Manh Cuong, Vice President of Petrovietnam, expressed his hope that in the near future, Petrovietnam will have the opportunity to cooperate with ENE in the fields of green energy and renewable energy, aiming toward sustainable development. |
Speaking at the meeting, Vice President Le Manh Cuong emphasized that at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in November 2021, Vietnam joined nearly 150 countries in pledging to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. As the national oil and gas group, Petrovietnam is fully committed to supporting the Government in implementing its emissions reduction roadmap. Alongside its traditional energy portfolio, the Group and its subsidiaries are actively researching and investing in green and renewable energy projects.
In light of the global push for energy transition, Mr. Cuong reaffirmed Petrovietnam’s interest in forming a strategic partnership with ENE, aimed at fostering sustainable development and accelerating Vietnam’s progress toward a low-carbon future.
