BSR organized a ceremony to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the first commercial product line of Dung Quat Refinery and the tree planting event at the beginning of Spring

Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang, General Director of BSR, along with members of the Board of Directors, the Executive Board, the Management Board of Dung Quat Refinery, the Supervisory Board, leaders of functional departments, and representatives of BSR's organizations and unions.

BSR leadership and union organizations hold a tribute ceremony and report achievements to the late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet.

Dung Quat Refinery is a national key project that plays a crucial role in fuel supply and ensuring national energy security. In 2005, the refinery's construction officially began. After completing construction and commencing operations, on February 22, 2009, the refinery produced its first commercial product, marking a significant milestone in the history of Vietnam's oil and gas industry. This event not only affirmed the country's self-sufficiency in the refining and petrochemical sector but also contributed to national energy security and promoted the socio-economic development of Quang Ngai province and the central region.

Over the past 16 years, BSR has produced and supplied more than 96.4 million tons of various products to the market, generating total revenue of over VND 1.7 quadrillion and contributing more than VND 230 trillion to the state budget. Dung Quat Refinery has also undergone five major maintenance periods in 2011, 2014, 2017, 2020, and 2024. Each maintenance cycle was successfully completed ahead of schedule. The achievements BSR has attained today are a testament to the company's perseverance, innovation, and continuous commitment to sustainable development.

A large number of employees from the company enthusiastically participated in the tree planting event at the beginning of spring.

On the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the first commercial product line from Dung Quat Refinery, BSR organized a tribute ceremony to honor the late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet, who made significant contributions to the establishment of the refinery. In front of his monument, the company's leadership and all BSR employees solemnly offered flowers and observed a minute of silence to express their deep respect and gratitude to him.

About 3,000 Casuarina trees have been planted by the employees along the pathway leading to the Dung Quat Refinery Observation Tower.

On this occasion, BSR launched a campaign to plant 3,000 Casuarina trees along both sides of the access road leading to the observation tower of Dung Quat Refinery. This meaningful initiative contributes to environmental protection, enhances the landscape, and promotes sustainable development. Tree planting not only helps create a green, clean, and beautiful environment around the refinery but also reflects BSR employees’ commitment to nature, the community, and future generations.
