Attendance at the Go-No Go were Mr. Agung Dwi Rakhmadi – Vice President of Development & Drilling Region 2 Pertamina EP; Mr. Jufrihadi – Senior Manager of Drilling and Well Intervention at Region 2 Pertamina EP; Mr. Dinh Quang Nhut and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duong –Vice President of PV Drilling; Mr. William Gomez, Director of PT Jimmulya and representatives from each party’s functional departments.
This is an important event to start the new journey of PV DRILLING III in Indonesia market. To prepare for the mobilization and operation of PV DRILLING III, all parties have collaborated closely since day one with significant effort and focus. From February 18 to February 20, 2025, the Drilling Readiness Review (DRR) was held in Bandung to provide a comprehensive assessment of the rig and crew’s readiness. Following the DRR, all necessary adjustments and upgrades were implemented on time in accordance with the provisions of the contract, Pertamina’s requirements and applicable laws in Indonesia.
By the end of March 2025, PV DRILLING III was mobilized to Labuan Anchorage after completing its final well for SEA Hibiscus, and subsequently undergoing UWILD. From April 12 to 18, 2025, Pertamina conducted a thorough rig inspection and crew training. By May 6, 2025, PV DRILLING III arrived at Pertamina’s well location offshore West Java, having completed a journey of over 1,000 nautical miles and finalized the customs clearance for its importation with Indonesian authorities.

On behalf of Pertamina EP, Mr. Agung Dwi Rakhmadi expressed appreciation for the expertise and contribution of PV Drilling and Jimmulya team. Mr. Agung expected that PV Drilling and Jimmulya would demonstrate a strong collaboration to support the achievement of new targets in Pertamina’s E&P strategy. Consecutively, Mr. Jufrihadi gave commendation for the exellent performance of PV Drilling/Jimmulya since 2022. Mr. Jufrihadi also highlighted the importance of full compliance with Pertamina’s regulations, corporate culture, and safety standards. Additionally, Mr. Jufrihadi called for the continuous improvement in all operational aspects from PV Drilling/Jimmulya to ensure Pertamina’s drilling project timeline remains on track.

On behalf of PV Drilling, Mr. Dinh Quang Nhut expressed his gratitude to Pertamina for the trust and support extended to PV Drilling’s team and its rigs over the years. He reaffirmed PV Drilling’s strong commitment to upholding the highest safety standards and ensuring operational efficiency. Mr. Nhut also conveyed confidence that PV DRILLING III would deliver an outstanding performance building on its remakable track record for Repsol and SEA Hibiscus in Malaysia.
PV DRILLING III will serve the upcoming drilling programs of PHE ONWJ and PHE OSES in North West Java and South East Sumatra under a three-year firm contract with an optional two-year extension. The Go-No Go Meeting marked a significant milestone in PV Drilling’s growth as the Corporation is now, for the first time, operating two jack up rigs in Indonesia starting from May 2025. With an unwavering commitment to operational safety and service quality, PV Drilling is well-positioned to enhance its market presence and take advantage of new business opportunities in Indonesian market.
