The delegation, led by Chairman of the Board of Directors Mai The Toan, along with the participation of Vice Presidents and the PVD Drilling Division’s Board of Management, visited key project components, listened to reports on the rig's maintenance and upgrade progress, and future work plans. The delegation also sent words of encouragement to all employees, encouraging them to continue their efforts, ensure absolute safety and high efficiency in the reactivation work, aiming to bring the PV DRILLING VIII rig back into commercial operation by the end of the third quarter of 2025.

Previously, PVD Drilling Division carried out the work of towing the PV DRILLING VIII rig back to Vietnam using the HD06 vessel, departing from Malaysia at 17:50 on February 17, 2025, after completing the first phase of partial reactivation in Labuan (Malaysia). By 21:00 on February 27, 2025, the drilling rig and 25 crews had safely arrived in Vietnam, one day ahead of schedule.
At PTSC downstream port, the PV DRILLING VIII rig will carry out phase 2, which includes complete reactivation, upgrades, commission, acceptance testing, and readiness for operation.

The early deployment of the PV DRILLING VIII rig to provide drilling services in the domestic market will contribute to increasing revenue and profits for PV Drilling and its subsidiaries involved in providing rig-related services.
