PV Drilling tops targets early, stock eyes strong gains

According to the drilling contract, PV Drilling VIII shall execute two continuous drilling campaigns within one year.

Specifically, the first drilling program include 03 development wells in Sabah, West Malaysia, the duration shall be 60 days, and the commencement date shall be tentatively July 01st to July 15th, 2026. Upon completion, PV Drilling VIII will continuously execute the development drilling campaign which includes 07 wells in Sarawak, lasting 300 days. Thus, in 2026, PV Drilling will maintain 2 drilling rigs operating in the Malaysian market, including PV DRILLING VI and PV DRILLING VIII.

Building on the success of its existing rigs and extensive operational experience in Malaysia since 2017, PV Drilling has made thorough preparations in rig management, operation team and technology. Accordingly, the PV DRILLING VIII rig shall be upgraded with offline activity, the drilling capability in high pressure - high temperature conditions (HPHT), as well as the accommodation capacity on the rig from 120 BOP to 150 BOP.
