Chairman of Petrovietnam’s BOM, Le Manh Hung urges PV GAS to increase Thi Vai LNG Terminal’s capacity to 3 MTPA

Currently, PV GAS has essentially completed the preparatory work for the investment to increase Thi Vai LNG Terminal's capacity to 3 MTPA, with the EPC contract expected to be signed by the end of 2025. The Corporation has been proactively optimizing existing infrastructure to raise the send-out capacity of Terminal to 7.7 million cubic meters per day, ensuring stable supply for power plants. Additionally, PV GAS is actively researching investments in floating storage to increase LNG supply capacity in Vietnam’s Southeast region to 22-23 million cubic meters. Regarding infrastructure business, the Corporation is preparing to establish a PV GAS Logistics Branch to optimize the existing supply chain and is working on connecting the Southwest pipeline network.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman Le Manh Hung highly appreciated PV GAS for proactively planning and implementing its 2025 management strategy early, demonstrating its strong determination for the year and beyond.

Regarding the development plans and strategies for 2025 and beyond, Chairman Le Manh Hung emphasized several key points for PV GAS and its divisions/units to focus on: drafting an annual plan implementation chart for management; deploying LNG-related investments and infrastructure business investments; swiftly implementing the project to increase Thi Vai LNG Terminal's capacity; and establishing a dedicated infrastructure business management division to enhance competitiveness and maintain its position in the gas market.
